Green Top Day Nursery
We prepare all of our menus using the national voluntary food and drink guidelines created by the Children’s Food Trust Eat Better, Start Better programme which helps us meet the welfare and nutrition requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Ofsted’s new Common Inspection Framework and have worked with Bradford NHS dietetic service in developing our menus. This means that you can be reassured that whilst at nursery your child is getting healthy, nutritious and balanced meals across the day
The children are encouraged to help with maintaining our own fruit and vegetable patch and our cook Helen, prepares all meals fresh on the premises daily, using as many of the fruit and vegetables that the children have grown.
During your child’s scheduled attendance, sessions are inclusive of all food served e.g. breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and tea (NO EXTRA CHARGES OR HIDDEN COSTS)
7.00am - 9.00am – Toast and a selection of cereals with milk, water or fresh fruit juice
10am - Snack
12pm - 2 course Lunch with healthy treat for pudding
2pm - Snack
4pm - 2 course Tea with healthy treat for pudding
Special diets are catered for and discussed at your child's induction, and be reassured we have extensive experience in preparing food and supporting children with severe food allergies.
We ask that you provide your own milk for your child if they are still on formula or breast milk.
